Hughes Named OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week

The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) has named Edison State Community College sophomore Allison Hughes (Parkway HS) an OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week for February 17-23, 2025.

Hughes and the Lady Chargers protected their slot atop the OCCAC standings entering the season's final week thanks to an 81-63 besting of Owens. Hughes put up 18 points and a dozen rebounds in that one, following with another double-double (16 points, 11 rebounds) a few days later versus Community Christian. Eleven of her 23 rebounds came on the offensive glass.

The Lady Chargers are 21-7 overall and 12-1 in the conference.
