The Edison State women's basketball team lost to Lakeland Community College on Friday, March 8 in the district semifinal 71-66.
Lauryn Gray (Piqua) led the team in scoring with 19 points. Kailani Broyles (Massillon Washington) scored 17 and Clair Schmitmeyer (Versailles) scored 10. Gray, Broyles, and Schmitmeyer were part of a sophomore class that won a record 49 games including 25 this season.
The team finished their season 25-6 overall and 12-4 in conference action.
