The Edison State women won an important league game on Monday night 70-61 over first place Sinclair Community College who is also ranked No. 20 in the latest NJCAA DII women's basketball poll. The Chargers improve to 10-3 in the conference and 23-4 overall.
Kailani Broyles (Massillon Washington HS) had a huge game with 24 points and 14 rebounds. Sarah Pothast (Wapakoneta HS) and Clair Schmitmeyer (Versailles HS) also had double-doubles. Pothast finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds, while Schmitmeyer had 12 points and 11 rebounds. Lauryn Gray (Piqua HS) hit three 3-pointers and finished with 12 points overall.
Edison State returns to conference action with another important game Wednesday night at Owens.
