Lady Chargers Defeated by Owens in First Loss of Season
The #16 ranked Edison State Community College Lady Chargers dropped their first game of the year on Wednesday night, losing at home to #12 Owens Community College in league play 77-56.

The #16 ranked Edison State Community College Lady Chargers dropped their first game of the year on Wednesday night, losing at home to #12 Owens Community College in league play 77-56.
The game was only a one-point difference at halftime, but Owens pulled away in the second half.
Riley Culver (Wapakoneta HS) led the Lady Chargers with 19 points. Versailles natives Clair Schmitmeyer and Lauren Monnin both added 11 points.
The Lady Chargers are now 16-1 overall and 3-1 in the OCCAC. The team will return to conference action on Saturday, January 20th as they face conference rivals Sinclair Community College at 1:00 p.m. at home.
