McDonald Named OCCAC Basketball Player of the Week

The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) has named Edison State Community College freshman Daviyon McDonald (Dublin Jerome HS) OCCAC Basketball Co-Player of the Week for January 15-21, 2024. 

McDonald, receiving his second award for the 2023-2024 season, put up 23 points, 16 rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a block in the Chargers' 76-63 win over Owens. He converted on 10-of-19 field goal attempts and crashed the boards, with six of his 16 rebounds coming on the offensive glass. 

The Edison State men's basketball team is 9-8 overall and 5-2 in conference play.
