The Edison State men's basketball team won their twelfth game of the season defeating the University of Miami University–Middletown on the road Saturday night 83-76.
Playing the third game in four days proved to be a huge challenge for the Chargers tonight as the first 10 minutes of play was all Miami University–Middletown who sported an early 29-10 lead.
"Our young men have had a lot going on this week with the stress of finals and trying to balance practice and three games. They are as much emotionally as they are physically tired. And through it all, they were able to dig deep tonight and rally from behind. I am extremely proud of their character," commented coach Hickman.
Hadith Tiggs (Wayne HS) led in the scoring column with 20 points and 7 boards followed closely by Romello Yaqub (Troy HS) with 18.
Edison State moves to 12-2 on the year. Next, the Chargers will take on OSU–Lima on Friday, December 22 at home at 7:30 p.m.
