Edison State Falls to Undefeated Cincinnati Surge
The Edison State Men’s basketball team fell to undefeated, conference leaders Cincinnati State at home Wednesday evening.
The Edison State Men's basketball team fell to undefeated, conference leaders Cincinnati State Technical and Community College at home Wednesday evening.
The Chargers played the Cincinnati State Surge even in the first 10 minutes of play. But at the 9:43 mark the Surge went on a 22 point surge, forcing 3 timeouts by the Chargers and posting a 31-point lead at the half. The Chargers were able to cut the lead to 20 and outplayed their opponent in the second half, but the damage had already been done. The Chargers are now 11-7 on the season.
Hadith Tiggs (Wayne HS) had 22 points and 9 rebounds. Dae'Shawn Jackson (Springfield HS) scored 17 points. Christopher Landrum, II (Troy Christian HS) provided 11 points and Zach Ledbetter (Vandalia Butler HS) added 10 for the Chargers.
The Chargers will hit the road this Saturday, January 28th to take on Sinclair Community College at 3:00 p.m.
