The Edison State men's basketball team extended their winning record to 8-4 Wednesday night by defeating Clark State 74-39.
The Edison State men's basketball team extended their winning record to 8-4 Wednesday night by defeating Clark State 74-39. Clark State drew first blood but the Chargers wasted no time getting down to business.
Leading 41-18 at the intermission the Chargers doubled down defensively by allowing only 39 for the game giving the Chargers their best defensive effort on the year.
Dae'Shawn Jackson (Springfield) led the way offensively with 15 points and 5 assists, followed closely by Dusty Poteet (Troy Christian) with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Also stepping up for the Chargers was Zach Ledbetter (Vandalia Butler) adding 11 points on 3 treys and 4 boards.
The Chargers will compete at home again this Friday, January 13th to host Southern State Community College at 7:30 pm.
