The Charger baseball team opened up their trip in Cocoa Beach, Florida on Monday, March 13th splitting a doubleheader with Kishwaukee CC.
Edison State fell short by a score of 8-3 in a hard fought first game that was tied until the 7th inning. Starting pitcher Jeffrey Mefford, Jr. went 5 innings and left with the score 3-3. Offensively, the Chargers were led by Jake Young, Keith Olmo, Dustin Parsons, and Jarob Negron each with two hits a piece. Negron went 2/3 with a 2B, and HR, driving in two of Edison State's three runs.
