Bio

Coach Martin joined Edison State Community College as an assistant women's basketball coach in 2016. Coach Martin brings over 30 years of basketball coaching experience to the Lady Chargers basketball program. Before Edison State, Coach Martin was the varsity girls basketball coach at Anna High School. He helped to lead the Lady Rockets to a State Championship in 2011, State Runner-Up in 2012, and State Championship in 2013. In addition to basketball, Coach Martin also held the position of varsity assistant softball coach for 13 seasons as well as varsity assistant soccer coach for 14 seasons all at Anna High School. Doug enjoys working with basketball players teaching them the fundamentals of basketball and life lessons to become better athletes and people. Doug is a Material Control Analyst and resides in Anna with his wife Heidi; together they have three grown daughters, Brittany, Danielle, and Paige and five grandchildren, Maddox, Major, Kyzen, McKayla, and Violet and one on its way in February.
