Riley Culver Named Player of the Week
The Ohio Community College Athletic Association (OCCAC) has named Edison State Community College sophomore center Riley Culver NJCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for December 11.
The Ohio Community College Athletic Association (OCCAC) has named Edison State Community College sophomore center Riley Culver the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week for December 11.
Riley Culver (Wapakoneta HS) pushed the Chargers to 11-0 on the season by taking on two more wins this past week. She averaged a double-double, putting up 23.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in the pair of victories.
Culver shot 61% (11-18) from the floor overall and added five assists in the week's first contest, a 74-59 triumph over Cedarville University JV. Culver is the first Charger to pick up the accolade since Sydney Miller since Feb. 19, 2017.
The 6-foot-1-inch center is now averaging 12.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.6 steals per game in her career at Edison State (11-0, 3-0 OCCAC).
The Chargers will be back in action on their home court Wednesday, December 13 versus Southern State Community College.
