Lady Chargers Continue Winning Streak at Home
The Edison State women's basketball team improved to 8-3 overall with their 4th straight win after defeating Miami University–Hamilton Friday night 85-54.
The Edison State women's basketball team improved to 8-3 overall with their 4th straight win after defeating Miami University–Hamilton Friday night 85-54.
Edison State was led in scoring by Brooke Hickey who had 20 points. Sydney Miller had 18 points and Carly Buzzard had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Riley Culver had 10 points for Edison State as well.
Edison State used a 35 point third quarter to expand a 7 point halftime lead to a 30 point lead going into the 4th quarter.
The lady Chargers return to league action next Wednesday, January 11 when they host Clark State Community College at 5:30 p.m. As a token of appreciation, past and present servicemen and women are invited to attend the games free of charge. The Color Guard of the Piqua Civil Air Patrol Squadron under the command of Major Richard Borgerding from the Upper Valley Career Center will march during the national anthem prior to the women's game.
