In the first inning, Sinclair got their offense started. Ashley Brown drove in one when she singled.
Sinclair pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Cierra Chastain singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run and Kylie Fine doubled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring two runs.
Sinclair scored five runs in the seventh inning. Bailey Pennington, Brown, and Molley Schweitzer each had RBIs in the frame.
Chastain led the Sinclair to victory in the pitcher's circle. She surrendered five runs on seven hits over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one.
Maddy Collier took the loss for Edison State. She lasted four and one-third innings, allowing 11 hits and eight runs while walking one.
Edison State smacked one home run on the day. Wendy Hawk went yard in the sixth inning.
Hawk led Edison State with three hits in three at-bats.
