Edison State Falls Short to Sinclair
The Edison State Community College softball team fell short to Sinclair Community College in a 5-0 loss on Tuesday, April 16.
One bright spot for Edison State Community College was a single by Adrianna Hicks in the sixth inning.
Cierra Chastain was the winning pitcher for Sinclair Community College. She went seven innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out seven and walking zero.
Alexis Romine took the loss for Edison State, suffering five runs on nine hits over six innings, striking out four and walking zero.
Hicks and Romine each collected one hit to lead Edison State.
Sinclair racked up nine hits in the game. Emma Dammeyer, Hailey Mceldowney, and Kenedie Cox all managed multiple hits for Sinclair. Sinclair was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Cox made the most plays with seven.
