Sinclair Captures Early Lead to Defeat Edison State

Sinclair scored on a home run by Bailey Pennington in the first inning, a single by Hailey Mceldowney in the second inning, a single by Kenedie Cox in the second inning, and a single by Pennington in the second inning.
Sinclair fired up the offense in the first inning, when Pennington homered on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
Sinclair scored four runs in the second inning which was led by Mceldowney, Cox, and Pennington, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Ashley Brown was the winning pitcher for Sinclair. She surrendered three runs on four hits over two innings, striking out one. Cierra Chastain threw five innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Maddy Collier took the loss for Edison State, allowing allowed nine hits and six runs over six innings, striking out four and walking one.
Mackenzie Smith led Edison State with two hits in four at-bats. The Lady Chargers stole four bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Lexie Long led the way with two.
Sinclair collected nine hits on the day. Emma Dammeyer and Pennington all managed multiple hits for Sinclair.
