Mackenzie Smith collected four hits in four at-bats to help lead Edison State to victory. Smith singled in the first, doubled in the second, singled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth.
The Lady Chargers opened up scoring in the first inning, scoring one run when Alexis Romine singled.
Edison State tallied seven runs in the third inning. Adrianna Hicks, Mackenzie Smith, Alexis Romine, Wendy Hawk, and Kacie Tackett each drove in runs during the inning.
One bright spot for UC–Clermont was a single by Sam Reese in the third inning.

Reese went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead the University of Cincinnati–Clermont in hits.
