The Edison State Community College men's basketball team became the No. 20 nationally ranked team on Wednesday night after defeating Owens Community College 107-71.
The Chargers were led by Lacey Watson (Davenport North HS) who had a near triple-double with 29 points, 16 rebounds, and 9 assists. Also in double figures were Lamine Komara (Whetstone HS) with 23 points, Dakota Prichard (Spencerville HS) with 17 points, and Mitchell Woods (Fairfield HS) with 10 points.
The Chargers improve to 15-3 on the season and 4-2 in conference play. The team is back in action on the road Saturday for a top 20 national battle against no. 19 Cuyahoga Community College at 3:00 p.m.
