Chargers Denied Upset Over #2 Tri-C

The Chargers came out and established an early advantage but relinquished the lead just prior to halftime and went to the locker room trailing 24-23. The second half noted several lead changes early before Tri-C began to convert on several offensive rebounds. This stat proved to be the momentum changer as the Chargers were outmanned on the offensive boards 9-0. The Chargers held the normally high scoring Cuyahoga to just 62 points but was only able to connect on 17 of 48 attempts from the field losing by a score of 62-49.
The Chargers were led in scoring today by Hadith Tiggs (Wayne HS) and Romello Yaqub (Troy HS) with 10 points apiece. Danny Lee Corbett (Briggs HS) led in the assist category with 7.
The 17-12 Chargers begin NJCAA tournament play on Tuesday, March 6th at Lakeland Community College. Game time is yet to be determined.
