The Chargers took pride early in their defensive play allowing the eagles of Clark State only 21 first-half points and sported a 49-21 intermission advantage. The Eagles seemed to get back on track offensively in the second period, but could not slow the Chargers well-rounded scoring performance.
Dakota Prichard (Spencerville HS) led in the scoring column with 16 points closely followed by Hadith Tiggs (Wayne HS) with 14, Jacob Rogan (Bellefontaine HS) and Zach Ledbetter (Vandalia Butler HS) both added 12 and Darryl Robinson (Bowsher HS) and JaBryel Reed (Clark Montessori HS) with 10 apiece.
The rebounding column was led this afternoon by point guard Danny Lee Corbett (Briggs HS) with 9 followed closely by Nick Thompson (Miami Valley Saints) with 8. Romello Yaqub (Troy HS) led in the assist column with 6.
Edison State moves to 15-7 on the year. The Chargers return to action next Saturday as they travel to Lorain Community College for a conference matchup at 3:00 p.m.
