Edison State dropped to Sinclair Community College Saturday afternoon 87-70.
After leading at the intermission, the Chargers came out cold in the second half shooting only 35-percent from the field, but more specifically only 1 for 11 from behind the arc for only 9-percent.
"We had so many wide open looks in the second half, but the lid was tight and that took its toll," commented coach Hickman.
The Tartans, on the other hand, shot 41% and used their height advantage to control the boards 44-30.
Romello Yaqub (Troy HS) led the team in scoring with 17 points. Caleb Maggard (Oak Hill HS) and Darryl Robinson (Bowsher HS) each scored 11 points while Jacob Rogan (Bellefontaine HS) added 10.
Edison State moves to 13-5 on the year. The Chargers return to action next Wednesday night as they travel to Hocking College at 7:30 p.m.
