"We didn't have an answer to their inside play tonight and along with our impatience offensively it proved to be a bad combination. We also didn't have enough players competing on the defensive end to get stops," commented coach Hickman.
The Chargers led through the first 10 minutes of play but allowed the express to pull ahead and post a 13 point halftime lead. The chargers made a couple small runs in the second half but ended up on the losing end this time around.
Romello Yaqub (Troy HS) led the scoring with 20 points, followed by Hadith Tiggs (Wayne HS), Danny Lee Corbett (Briggs HS), Dakota Prichard (Spencerville HS), and Jacob Rogan (Bellefontaine HS) with 9 each on the evening.
Edison State moves to 13-4 on the year. The Chargers return to action this Saturday, January 20th as they host Sinclair Community College at 3:00 p.m.
