The Edison State men's basketball team won their 11th game of the season defeating Wright Patt Air Force Base at home Friday 85-62.
"Over the years, the Wright Patt Air Force Base men's basketball team has proved to be one of the toughest men's basketball teams in the area. And the team they put on the floor tonight was no exception. They were very big, fast, and shot the ball very well," commented Coach Hickman.
The Chargers, being conscious of their very talented big men were able to make it a full court game minimizing the importance of their inside play. Even though the 18 point intermission lead by the Chargers never increased much in the second half the damage had been done.
The Chargers once again had four players in double-figure scoring with Darryl Robinson (Toledo Bowsher HS) leading that column with 13 points and adding 7 rebounds. Romello Yaqub (Troy HS) had 12 points, Jacob Rogan (Bellefontaine HS) 11 points and Hadith Tiggs (Wayne HS) added 10.
Edison State moves to 11-2 on the year. Next up, the Chargers will be at Miami University–Middletown on the road Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
