Tiggs Named OCCAC Player of the Week
The Ohio Community College Athletic Association (OCCAC) has named Edison State Community College sophomore guard Hadith Tiggs the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for November 13-19.
The Ohio Community College Athletic Association (OCCAC) has named Edison State Community College sophomore guard Hadith Tiggs the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Men's Basketball Player of the Week for November 13-19.
Hadith Tiggs (Wayne HS) and the Chargers of Edison State Community College improved to 6-0 by grabbing a pair of road victories, downing OSU-Lima and conference foe Clark State Community College by scores of 83-76 and 106-64, respectively.
This marks the second career OCCAC Player of the Week laurel for Tiggs, also claiming the accolade on Jan. 29, 2017. He converted on 14-of-20 field attempts (60%) to averaged 19.0 points/game to go along with 8.0 rebounds and a pair of steals.
The 6-foot-3-inch guard is now averaging 14.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game in his career at Edison State (6-0, 1-0 OCCAC).
The Chargers will be back in action on Tuesday, November 21 at Southern State Community College.
