The Edison State Community College men's basketball team won their sixth game of the season remaining undefeated by a score of 106-64 Saturday afternoon over the Eagles of Clark State Community College.
The Chargers took an early lead and increased it to 28 by intermission. In the second period, the Eagles scored the first 5 points of the half before the Chargers tightened things up again.
"The aggressive play of Korey Joyner and several others of the Clark State team proved very difficult for us in the early goings. It was a challenge keeping him out of the paint and off the free throw line," said coach Hickman. "Fortunately, adjustments were made and the Chargers continue their winning ways."
Hadith Tiggs (Wayne HS) led in the scoring column with 19 points, while Jalen Elliott (Bowsher HS) added 17 of his own. Filifing Sissoko (Beechcroft HS) and James Richardson, Jr. (Beechcroft HS) along with Romello Yaqub (Troy HS) each added 9 points for the evening.
Edison State moves to 6-0 to start the 2017-18 campaign. Next up, the Chargers will be on the road at Southern State Community College on Tuesday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m.
