The Chargers took an early but narrow lead and increased it to 13 by intermission. Once again, the Chargers pressure defense proved to be too much for the Mavericks forcing 22 turnovers in the game. The Chargers led by as much as 30 with 9:46 remaining and held on to win by 19.
Jalen Elliott (Bowsher HS) led in the scoring column with 15 points. Hadith Tiggs (Wayne HS) added 13, James Richardson, Jr. (Beechcroft HS) 11 and Romello Yaqub (Troy HS) added 9 points and 3 assists. Fifteen Chargers in all put points on the board Saturday afternoon and accumulated a total of 16 assists.
Edison State moves to 4-0 to start the 2017-18 campaign. Next up, the Chargers will be on the road at OSU–Lima on Wednesday, November 15th at 7:30 pm.
