Edison State Defeats OSU-Mansfield
The Edison State men’s basketball team put an end to a 3-game losing streak this evening by beating Ohio State University–Mansfield 81-62.
The Edison State Men's Basketball team put an end to a 3–game losing skid this evening by beating Ohio State University Mansfield 81-62.
The Chargers mounted a 17–point lead by halftime as they held the Mavericks to just 20 points. In the second half, OSU–Mansfield connected on numerous 3–point attempts allowing them to keep pace. In the end, it was the Chargers ability to push the ball and create fast break points that enabled them to keep the Mavericks at bay.
Hadith Tiggs of Huber Heights led the way tonight in scoring with 16 points and 7 rebounds. DeAnthony Griffin of Linden McKinley had a double–double adding 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Dae'Shawn Jackson of Springfield had 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Brian Hall of Adena and Nick Thompson of Tipp City both added 8 points apiece.
The Chargers are now 6-3 on the season and will be home again on Saturday, December 17th to host Lakeland Community College at 3:00 pm.
