The Edison State men's basketball team wins their fourth game of the season by defeating the University of Cedarville JV on the road 103-57.
Edison State came out of the gate firing on all cylinders and exhibited a 27 point lead at intermission. The Yellow Jackets began the second-half flexing their muscles and making a run at the chargers by going inside to their 6'11" post and then hitting several threes.
The Chargers quickly responded as A.J. Hickman (Miami East) hit four consecutive 3's within a two minute period and was fouled attempting to make it five. He converted his free throw attempts and ended up with 19 of his season high 24 points in the 3rd quarter.
Four additional Chargers scored double digits with Dae'Shawn Jackson (Springfield) and DeAnthony Griffin (Linden McKinley) each scored 14. They were closely followed by Romello Yaqub (Troy) with 13 and Hadith Tiggs (Wayne) with 10.
"The most encouraging part of the evening for me was to see the unselfish play of so many of our players. This is a testament of their character," said Coach Hickman of his now 4-0 charger team.
The Chargers will take a break until after Thanksgiving where they will host the University of Cincinnati–Clermont on Wednesday, November 30th at 7:30 p.m. in Piqua.
