Tyler Koch announced as 2018 Head Baseball Coach
Tyler Koch of Springboro, Ohio to become the new Head Baseball Coach of the Edison State Chargers for the 2018-2019 season.
Tyler Koch of Springboro, Ohio has signed on to become the new Head Baseball Coach of the Edison State Chargers beginning in the fall of 2018. Last season, Koch coached 3rd base along with infielders, catchers, and outfielders and will now take over as head coach.
Koch graduated from Vandalia Butler High School in 2003 where he played both football and baseball. To this day he still holds the Double record for his school.
Koch received a scholarship to Vincennes University to play baseball for Hall of Fame coach Jerry Blemker. He played center, shortstop, 2nd base, 3rd base and pitched for the Trailblazers.
"I am extremely excited and beyond grateful for this opportunity," states Koch. He plans to bring his knowledge and skill from many years of coaching to the Edison State team.
Koch began coaching in 2007. He won the JV State Acme Championship in 2008 for Vandalia Butler and went back to back as a State Finalists in 2011 and 2012. He also coached football at Chaminade Julienne HS and Vandalia Butler from 2011–2017.
