Kolby Wooten, of Springfield, Ohio, has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Edison State Community College beginning in the fall of 2018. As a senior at Shawnee High School, Wooten pitched left handed for the Braves. In the off-season, Wooten plays for the Brownlee Lookouts.
"We feel very fortunate to add a pitcher of Kolby's caliber to our staff," said Edison State Head Coach Scott Jones. "We were impressed with his stuff and how polished he is. We feel he could be a front end of the rotation guy."
Wooten will work toward obtaining an Associate of Applied Science degree in criminal justice while attending Edison State.
