The Chargers pulled out a tight game in the nightcap after falling behind early, thanks in part to 8 unearned runs. Edison State was able to scrap back and eventually go ahead with 3 runs in the bottom of the eighth.
At the plate, Edison State was paced by Brandt Cronebach, Dustin Parsons, and Tyler Shamblin. Shamblin having a career day going 3/4 with a double, 2 HR's, and 5 rbi's. Freshman, Jackson Hobbs, started on the mound for Chargers and received a tough luck no decision after surrendering 9 runs of which 1 was earned. Jorge Datil went 3 scoreless innings in relief. Garrett Lee worked a scoreless 8th to pick up the win while William Wells followed in the ninth, striking out all three hitters he faced to earn another save.
