Justin McCulla was hired as Edison State's Director of Athletics on February 27, 2023. McCulla serves as the OCCAC Assistant Commissioner and Men's Basketball chair. McCulla currently serves as the Region 12 Assistant Men's Director Director, along with serving on the DIII Football, DIII Men's Basketball and DIII Baseball Committees. 

Prior to serving as the Director of Athletics, McCulla served in different roles within Student Affairs at both a four-year and two-year institutions. He also officated college football and baseball prior to 2016.

McCulla graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration from Urbana University, where he finished his four year baseball career. Prior to Urbana University, he attended Wittenberg University where he was a letterman as a pitcher and infielder. He earned a Master of Education from Urbana University in 2013.

McCulla resides in Saint Paris with his wife, Emily and their children.
